Adam K. Thompson

Principle Instructor

Adam earned his B.A. in Psychology; Neuroscience at Colby College, focusing on personality and behavioral neuroscience. Other work included research on emotion and persuasive messaging. Before launching DIRIGO, Adam directed Bedrock Educational Consultants in Saigon. He is an avid observer and participant in American culture and politics.

Adam began his journey abroad while administering an educational exchange program between Shanghai and Washington, D.C. In the years since, he’s been inspired by the power of education to help people lead happier, more connected, and more purposeful, productive lives. He believes in Frederick Douglass’s poetic observation that “[Education] means [uplifting] the soul of man into the glorious light of truth, the light only by which men can be free."

Adam’s personal mission is to join the ranks of those working to elevate humanity's 'better angels.’ It's his professional mission to cultivate that same potential in his clients; to empower students and professionals with the skills to think critically, write clearly, and lead confidently in pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Le Phuong My

Advisor

You may have seen her reporting from war-torn Syria, or bringing the daily international business news to your dinner table on VTV1 & VTV24. After several years producing, editing, and anchoring at Vietnam’s flagship T.V. news network, My now helms TINH Atelier, a flourishing women’s designer clothing brand in Saigon.

As a student in her early 20s, My’s approach to education was tuned to the material benefits of clear thinking and writing, as well as business and financial literacy. She earned her B.A. in Economics with a dual concentration in Finance & Math at Colby College, spending her junior year at the London School of Economics. Her hard work and talent resulted in her acceptance to MIT’s Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

As life lessons accrue, My continues to gain an appreciation for the nourishment-of-soul that one cultivates through study in the arts and the humanities. She finds meaning in making the world a little more beautiful.
